Premier tour de table: Ivey relance AQ au bouton, il est suivi en BB par Begleiter qui complète en slow-payant RR. Stratégie qui s'avère payante lorque les tapis s'envolent sur un flop dame haute. Coup de tonnerre sur cette table finale où l'action se limite désormais à des relances préflops respectées. Le joueur français peu actif finit par envoyer avec paire de huit mais il tombe sur les dix de Cada qui tiennent. Alors que le public attend l'élimination de Akenhead ultra short, le coup de l'année est joué entre les 3 gros tapis. Sur un pot contenant un dix et neuf de pique ainsi qu'un trois de trèfle les tapis s'envolent. Buchman chip leader révèle le brelan max. Schaffel qui a suivit de petite blind montre une paire d'as masqué et Cada une dame et un valet de pique pour un tirage quinte flush. Le brelan tient et Buchman envoi deux joueurs vers la sortie sur cette main. Il permet à Akenhead de gagner deux places mais l'élimine sur la main suivante sur un traditionnel coin flip entre as roi contre paire de dame. Il ne reste plus que quatre joueurs et une confrontationentre paire de roi et paire de valet amène le trio final. Buchaman est large chip leader et les spectateurs se demandent qui entre Moon très discret et Shulman l'affrontera en tête à tête le lendemain. Il s'agit finalement de Jeff Shulman qui élimine Moon avec une double paire contre une overpair.

Le tête à tête semble deséquilibré avec Buchman qui posséde les trois quarts des jetons mais Shulman semble plus expérimenté que son adversaire en grignotant son retard pot après pot jusqu'à ce coup final où Shulman suit Buchman à tapis prélop avec paire de neuf contre le as valet de son adversaire. Shulman devient champion du monde.
